Reflection on Sunshine Online.
Today I started using a new website called Sunshine Online. This website gives information and helps with our learning. Today for Literacy I used this website. Using this, I read 3 books. 1 book was about baking, another was about the weather, and lastly a book about ninja's. I thought that all those books were really interesting to read. I look forward to using this website again.

Kindness Assembly! :)
On the 23rd of May, we, Room 7, had our virtues assembly. It was the first assembly for the year. Our assembly was based on the virtue ‘Kindness’.
Our assembly was to show and tell the school things about Kindness.
There were 3 groups. Each group presented something about kindness. In the group I was in, we presented two types of poems, an acrostic poem and an original poem written by Leki, and finally a song that Lose and I have composed.
Since our song was so catchy, Mrs Tui decided to teach the school. Now everywhere I go I hear people singing it.
Just because there were only three groups, doesn't mean we didn't give enough information about kindness. I'm sure at the end of our assembly everyone had an understanding of Kindness, and why it is important to use it. I know that I'm going to try and use the virtue of Kindness, towards my learning, and to everyone. :)

Kindness Mat
For writing, we are doing a procedural writing. A procedural writing, is a writing that gives instruction or direction. For our procedural writing, we followed instructions to making an ‘island mat’.
We used 2 sorts of paper, 1 plain black, and a coloured paper. We weaved the paper together and made a mat. Since we were doing an assembly about ‘Kindness’, we decided to title our work as a ‘Kindness Mat’.
Reflection on the Gospel.
Today after prayer, we reflected on the Gospel Reading from John.
In the reading, Jesus says “Don’t be worried” he also says
“There are many rooms in my Fathers house”. To me this means that there is always space in our Fathers home for everyone.
“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Light.” This means that Jesus is the way to God, Jesus is the Truth about God and Jesus is the Light of God.
Jesus is a resemblance of God. Through him and with him we can be a part of God's’ Kingdom.

Holy Spirit Prayer
Dear Holy Spirit,
Thank you for being a part of my life, each day you are there to remind me that I am a child of God. You gave me the gift of forgiving and forgetting. Help me to be brave like the apostles, and follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Thank you for helping me become this young teenager I am today.
Amen!
